Dr. Cuong V. Tran
Therapeutic Optometrist
Optometric Glaucoma Specialist

Dr. Cuong V. Tran is a Texas board-certified Therapeutic Optometrist and Optometric Glaucoma Specialist who specializes in primary eye care, contact lenses and detection and treatment of eye infections and diseases such as conjunctivitis, glaucoma, cataracts, and macular degeneration.   Dr. Tran is a graduate of the University of Houston College of Optometry, where he was recognized with a Clinical Letter of Excellence and Dean's Academic Lists. He also earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Houston. Prior to his optometric training, Dr. Tran obtained valuable experience as an optometric assistant and optician for four years. During his diverse optometric education, Dr. Tran received extensive clinical training in the fields of LASIK co-management, cataract surgery co-management, eye diseases, neuro-ophthalmology, contact lenses, low vision, binocular vision, and pediatrics.

During his optometric training, Dr. Tran completed an externship at Coastal Eye Associates, where he worked closely with ophthalmologists specializing in LASIK / refractive surgery, corneal disorders/diseases, retinal pathologies, oculoplastics, glaucoma, and cataract surgery. He also gained considerable knowledge and experience in specialty contact lenses, complete primary eye care, and optometric co-management of cataract and refractive surgeries.

Dr. Tran also completed an externship at Hopping Eye Associates, where he obtained valuable optometric training in family eye care, contact lenses, eye surgery co-management, binocular vision abnormalities, vision therapy, and pediatrics. He also furthered his optometric knowledge by training as a student clinician at the University of Texas Medical Branch Ophthalmology clinic, where he gained valuable experience and knowledge in neuro-ophthalmology.

Dr. Tran's language skills include fluent English, Chinese, Vietnamese, and basic Spanish for eye exams. His Grand Rounds paper was selected for publication in the 2003 Institute of Optometric Practice journal. He is an active member of the American Optometric Association and Texas Optometric Association, as well as the American Optometric Association's Contact Lens and Cornea Section. He was named one of "America's Top Optometrists" by the Consumers Research Council of America for 2009. His hobbies include traveling, basketball, tennis, movies, and spending valuable time with his wife and son.

Dr. Mischelle Gragg
Therapeutic Optometrist
Optometric Glaucoma Specialist

Dr. Mischelle Gragg has provided eye care to patients in the Houston Clear Lake area for over 20 years.  She earned her Bachelor's degree in biology from the College of Charleston in South Carolina before graduating from the University of Houston College of Optometry in 1989.  Dr. Gragg operated an independent therapeutic Optometric practice in Baybrook Square Shopping Center in Webster for over 12 years as well as a contact lens practice in the Galleria area for 5 years.

In August 2010, Dr. Gragg was pleased to join Exquisite Eye Care in Friendswood, where she continues to provide eye care for many of her former patients as well as many new patients.

Dr. Gragg has been married for 25 years to Johnny Gragg who is both a professional golfer and a professional jazz guitarist.  Their daughter is a 2013 graduate of the University of Texas in Austin.  During her free time, Dr. Gragg enjoys spending time watching movies with their two teenage sons, volunteering at church, traveling, bicycling, skating and reading.

Dr. Antony N. Nguyen

Dr. Antony Nguyen was born in Arkansas, and after living in there for a few years, his family moved to Texas, making Houston home.  Dr. Nguyen resides near the Galleria area, close by to where he attends church at St. Michael's.

Prior to his optometric training with emphasis on medical eye care at the University Eye Institute, Dr. Nguyen earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Houston, where he was also involved in the community by volunteering with Prevent Blindness and Texas Children's Hospital. During his professional training, Dr. Nguyen remained active in school and community activities that include serving as the vision screening chair of SVOSH (Student Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity), and as chair of the Optometry Day Student Panel, which provides insight into the optometric profession for high school students and college undergraduates. Dr. Nguyen was also a vision science summer instructor for two years in TEXOCOP (Texas Optometry Career Opportunities Program).  And prior to earning his degree, Dr. Nguyen was a recipient of the Texas State Optical Scholarship.

Dr. Nguyen spent time interning at the San Diego Naval Medical Center and at the Marine Corps Air Station Miramar.   He was privileged to be given the opportunity to care for military personnel and their families. Back home, he interned at Houston Eye Associates with surgeons in various specialties such as glaucoma, cornea, and retina. And before receiving his degree as a Doctor of Optometry and Glaucoma Specialist, he delivered patient care for homeless and indigent patients at the San Jose Clinic.

Dr. Nguyen speaks fluent English and Vietnamese, and basic Spanish.  His hobbies include reading, traveling, running, and golfing.  In addition, he likes to stay current with the latest technological and medical advances in order to provide the highest quality of care to his patients.  And most of all, he enjoys rooting for his hometown sports teams and spending quality time with family and friends.
